About Student Chapters
Xplor Ryerson is the first ever student chapter of Xplor Canada. The chapter organizes events, educational workshops and networking opportunities that connect students with the industry – and vice versa. By bringing students and the industry together, Xplor Canada provides an opportunity to enhance student life outside of the classroom and engage a new generation of customer and business communication professionals.
Forming an Xplor Student Chapter is a great way for a university to participate in Xplor programs and learn about the CCM Industry first-hand. Chapters are easy to form, Student Membership in the Association is $25 USD a year. These fees can be applied by students to our entry-level EDA Certfication program, making this a cost-effective membership.
We also have the complex and challenging Intercollegiate Design contest, where teams of students compete against other university teams. Winners usually get a free trip to our Global conference in Florida and live recognition and trophies from the Industry.
Finally, many of our chapters will hold CCM industry panels, events and tours to learn about our industry in person.
All of these activities not only teach our students about our industry, they receive valuable industry participation points towards their first industry certification ithrough our scholastic EDA program.
Program students are also eligible for Xplor Scholarships, based on their marks and industry participation.
Through Xplor Chapter activities, students will have many opportunities for networking, internships and graduating jobs as well. There are some great reasons to be in Xplor!
